The Sound of Silence – Antigua, Guatemala – Daily Photo

This month on the Amateur Traveler facebook fan page I am having a photo contest with the theme “Shadows”.
This picture “The Sounds of Silence” is from Skip Hunt (© 2010) Skip Hunt).
Skip says:
I made the image in Antiqua, Guatemala several years ago. It was shot in 35mm. I wanted to get out of the heat so I ducked into this ruined cathedral. It had been so bright out and so dark in this room… I was temporarily blinded. Before my eyes adjusted, I was surprised by ethereal flute playing. As my eyes slowly adjusted, I started to make out the figure playing. I didn’t have a tripod with me, so I was lucky to get this one that was acceptable. I only disturbed the sound with one click, and then just stood there enrapt in lovely sound.
